My name is Anne Zaharias, I have been married to my incredibly supportive husband Eric since 1994. We have 2 daughters, Evania and Reyna and we have resided in TN since 2013. I grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and have loved horses since I can remember. My Grandfather was my first influence. He had a barn in Franksville WI and I would always want him to take me with him when we would visit. I was probably 4 years old, so not an asset amongst the Standardbred racehorses, but I relished the time I was able to spend there. His barn was immaculate and the horses fervently cared for. I strive to carry on that environment for my clients and their horses.
I got my first horse on my 5th birthday, a sassy black Sheltand Pony named Dakota. He arrived on the back of a pick-up truck! We had so much to learn and since, the horses I have owned and worked with continue to shape and influence me. There have been easy ones, difficult ones, mysteriously frustrating ones. The complexities of all of them have instilled in me beyond measure to truly listen to them, be patient in the process and rely on a team of people who care about the success of happy horses and well-educated riders. I've not always been patient of listened to them like I should, thinking I knew enough to push through. However, I found that frustration is God's way of saying you have more growing to do and keep my personal continuing education a priority. I am lucky to have learned from some amazing teachers and continue to be excited to learn for myself and bring that experience to my clients and their horses so their road may be easier than mine.
